Network Backup Version 8.1 Disk To Disk Guide

An immediate disk-to-disk job copies a backup data set stored on a VTL to another VTL located on the same media server.

The destination VTL can be:

  • local VTL
  • SAN or NFS mounted VTL
  • iSCSI Disk
  • Cloud NAS (Amazon S3, etc..)
  • Data Deduplication Device

The Arkeia Backup Servers VTL must be enough to cover all VTL capacities.
Both VTLs must be local to the backup server.
A Disk to Disk using a Media Server is not supported. 

Home > When To Backup > Immediate Disk To Disk

Backup To Copy = Select the Backup Job from the local VTL
Drivepack      = Amazon S3 Bucket or destination VTL
Valid For      = Set the Retention Time

Click "Start Disk-to-Disk"
